Letter (informal): Using a Road Safety Week poster, write to your brother urging him to drive safely.
I saw a Road Safety Week poster outside our school today, and it made me think of you, since you ride your bike to college every day.
Please always wear your helmet, even for short distances, and avoid using your phone while riding. The poster mentioned that a large number of accidents happen simply because of over-speeding at turns and not checking mirrors before changing lanes.
I know it feels unnecessary until the one day it isn’t. Please take care of yourself — we all worry when you’re out on the road.
Your loving sister,
Sneha
News report: Write a news report on a school chess championship.
Beed, 14 March — The three-day inter-school chess championship concluded yesterday, with over sixty students from twelve schools taking part.
The final was a closely fought match that went into extra time, with the home team’s captain eventually winning on the tie-break rule. The chief guest, a state-level chess coach, praised the players’ patience and presence of mind.
The organisers announced that the championship would now be held every year, given the enthusiastic response from both students and parents.
Exam Tips for This Pattern
This year’s syllabus was reduced after COVID, so it’s the least typical paper on this list — useful for extra practice, but base your main revision on 2023-2026.
These notes describe the pattern and topics of past board papers in our own words, for revision purposes. They are not copies of the official question paper or the official answer key, and the model answers are written fresh by englishresources.in, not reproduced from any answer key.
